My Push Bike & Mrigadayavan : Palace of Love and Hope

It is good day for me again to relax at beach, I've been there a couple of times but still feel very relaxing. This time I spent most of my time on PUSH BIKE word for me. Actually it means bicycle. I go around the military camp called "Naresuan Camp" and "Mrigadayavan Palace"

I like the idea of this palace, it is called as Palace of Love and Hope

It was built in 1923 under the royal command of King Rama VI using golden teakwood from the demolished Hat Chao Samran Palace. An Italian architect designed the palace with a dazzling composition of verandahs and latticework in regal proportions.

Why it is called Palace of love and hope? It is into the King's love and care for Queen Indrasakdi Sachi while she was pregnant. Expecting an heir to the throne, he is said to have taken good care of her pregnancy which unfortunately ended in a miscarriage.

The palace is a two-storied wooden pavilion with a series of connecting halls and a long corridor leading to the sea.

The palace is open to the public daily, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission fee is 90 baht per person

More info about it, is here
