Suan Pakkard Palace, Bangkok #1

This is extended post from here and here, there are lot of green plants, colorful flowers and beuatiful old Thai style house. Currently it is open museum where contains a lot of old ceramics part, decoration, Khon accessories, coins, glasses. Everything is old like more than a decade.

The big house you see over there has connected walk way to the other 9 small houses, each house keep difference things such as one room is full of glasses, ceramics, accessories like rings etc.,

It is entrance or exit from garden to house area, color of wooden bridge is classic. Dark red as a wood :)

A wall of honor, saying brief of this palace and who create this beautiful place. I will post more photo of this place shortly, there are still many photos of this nice palace. If you like to enjoy quiet place, beautiful building, snap out from busy time of Bangkok. You may like this place. Good for foreigner too.

My Push Bike & Mrigadayavan : Palace of Love and Hope

It is good day for me again to relax at beach, I've been there a couple of times but still feel very relaxing. This time I spent most of my time on PUSH BIKE ...new word for me. Actually it means bicycle. I go around the military camp called "Naresuan Camp" and "Mrigadayavan Palace"

I like the idea of this palace, it is called as Palace of Love and Hope

It was built in 1923 under the royal command of King Rama VI using golden teakwood from the demolished Hat Chao Samran Palace. An Italian architect designed the palace with a dazzling composition of verandahs and latticework in regal proportions.

Why it is called Palace of love and hope? It is into the King's love and care for Queen Indrasakdi Sachi while she was pregnant. Expecting an heir to the throne, he is said to have taken good care of her pregnancy which unfortunately ended in a miscarriage.

The palace is a two-storied wooden pavilion with a series of connecting halls and a long corridor leading to the sea.

The palace is open to the public daily, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission fee is 90 baht per person
