Suan Pakkard Palace, Bangkok #1

This is extended post from here and here, there are lot of green plants, colorful flowers and beuatiful old Thai style house. Currently it is open museum where contains a lot of old ceramics part, decoration, Khon accessories, coins, glasses. Everything is old like more than a decade.

The big house you see over there has connected walk way to the other 9 small houses, each house keep difference things such as one room is full of glasses, ceramics, accessories like rings etc.,

It is entrance or exit from garden to house area, color of wooden bridge is classic. Dark red as a wood :)

A wall of honor, saying brief of this palace and who create this beautiful place. I will post more photo of this place shortly, there are still many photos of this nice palace. If you like to enjoy quiet place, beautiful building, snap out from busy time of Bangkok. You may like this place. Good for foreigner too.

Pattaya during the day

It is Pattya during the day, I enjoy the bright day, full of sunshine and cool wind of winter of Thailand. Not that briilant cold, but it was enough for one fine day. I was at the beach with my book since early morning.

Pattaya Beach is situated alongside the city centre. The section of beach from Central Road (Pattaya Klang) south to the harbor is adjacent to the core of Pattaya's abundant nightlife area. Most sections of the beach are covered by rented deckchairs run by local beverage vendors during daylight hours

Sculpture of Thai kids, showing the way of playing Thai Games . I used to play those games when I was kid, and not having computer game to play as yet. I think that helps lot of kids of being outside, in sunshine and meet friends. More info of Thai Games is here. And I found another photo of sculpture here, look good.

WWII Cemetery in Kanchaburi

I visited there with friends during February this year, and the Cemetery was the last spot we stopped by. It is opposite the Railway Station, about 1 kilometre from town, it contains the remains of 6,982 war prisoners who lost their lives during the construction of the "Death Railway". The staff is taking very good care of places, it is all clean with nice flower decoration in which showing full respect to all the dead.

We were allowed to walk around and showing our respect, I've read some of name panel and feel very shocked that some were very young at their age. War is really cruel!

No war can bring peace.

Wangtakrai Waterfall, Nakhon Nayok

I'm on trip again ..woo ...again & again. Coz I love travel. hehe

This time we go to "home stay" at Nakorn Nayok Province, And visit waterfall called "Wang Takrai", it is very famouse waterfall in this area. Not so many people this weekend, we took a mat and lay down nearby the small canal..and sleep there...

My Push Bike & Mrigadayavan : Palace of Love and Hope

It is good day for me again to relax at beach, I've been there a couple of times but still feel very relaxing. This time I spent most of my time on PUSH BIKE ...new word for me. Actually it means bicycle. I go around the military camp called "Naresuan Camp" and "Mrigadayavan Palace"

I like the idea of this palace, it is called as Palace of Love and Hope

It was built in 1923 under the royal command of King Rama VI using golden teakwood from the demolished Hat Chao Samran Palace. An Italian architect designed the palace with a dazzling composition of verandahs and latticework in regal proportions.

Why it is called Palace of love and hope? It is into the King's love and care for Queen Indrasakdi Sachi while she was pregnant. Expecting an heir to the throne, he is said to have taken good care of her pregnancy which unfortunately ended in a miscarriage.

The palace is a two-storied wooden pavilion with a series of connecting halls and a long corridor leading to the sea.

The palace is open to the public daily, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission fee is 90 baht per person

On the train to Kanchanaburi

Got these photos taken during our trip to Kanchanaburi, the dealth railway and Sai Yok Noi waterfall, it was good fun and this show typical Train in Thailand. It is very cheap one.

The "Train Garden" is near Jatujak market". You can ask people there where is "Suan Rot Fai" = "Train Garden"Jatujak market is on Phaholyothin Road. I took this picture when I was there alone and nothing much to do. I think it represent my loneliness that day.

Chinese Statue in Temple of Dawn

I went to Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) on May 01, 2009. It is my second visit or third visit, I can't recall now. It was nice place to go. It was very good fun and I got some beautiful photo, this is one of Chinese statue in Temple of Dawn, there are plenty of them. These statues were influenced in Thailand since long time, so it means Chinese is really everywhere.

Ministry of Defence in yellow

I passed by this area today, it is still very beautiful building with old style of gun. I know Thailand has lot of news about political unstable, influence from defence people and protester. I hope this will give another view of how our is their work place look like.

The Thai military establishment historically has played an important role in the country's national life. Composed of heterogeneous elements of regular cadres and conscripts, the armed forces in mid-1987 had a total strength of approximately 273,000 officers and enlisted personnel on active duty. Component services included the Royal Thai Army of 190,000, the Royal Thai Navy of 40,000, and the Royal Thai Air Force of 43,000. The navy's personnel strength included 20,000 marines.
